Last updating July, 2007 SNCTP - HOME Organization name Sudan National Committee on Traditional Practices (SNCTP) affecting the health of women and children Vision Empowerment of womens' to enable them to eliminate FGM/violence against women/girls/HIV/AIDS and protect their rights. Mission Reduction of FGM/HTPs/VAW and promotion of women and girls' child health and rights. Goal To reduce FGM/HTPs practices and improve health and social wellbeing of womens' and children in sub-urban and rural areas by 2015.
Objectives: · To address womens' and childrens' vulnerability and marginal status through IEC programmes focusing on womens' health and education (elimination of HTPs especially Female Genital Mutilation (FGM), Child and Forced Marriages (CFMs), GBV, VAW and HIV/AIDS. · To empower womens' with economic skills through training in income generating activities. · To raise the awareness of women and children on their rights. · Disseminate information and knowledge on Human Rights, social peace FGM/CFM message through Board Cast, Television as well organize seminars and symposium on FGM.

Through IEC: initiated programmes of Training of Trainers (TOT), Training and Information Campaign (TIC), Mass Media and Public Sensitization.
For outreach, integration of HTPs concepts into on-going programmes of CBOs and its own Volunteers is followed. It is of low cost as Networking and Volunteers will continue to provide the basis for programme implementation and outreach as the HQ & branches conduct the monitoring and evaluation processes.
